SASTRANA is an open pilot platform for managing and reselling handbags and accessories. This page explains what information we collect while you use it, and how it's handled.
Who this covers
This policy covers the SASTRANA platform you're using now, for as long as it remains in open pilot.
Account information
When you create an account, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password through Supabase Authentication, our authentication provider. We use this to identify you, let you log in, and reach you about your account.
Inventory and business information
The core of SASTRANA is the inventory, purchase, listing, sales, and customer information you enter for your own workspace: item details, purchase price and source, asking prices, listing channels, sale prices, and any customer names or contact details you add yourself. This information is private to your workspace and is used only to power the features you use, such as your inventory list, listings, and sales overview.
Uploaded photos
Photos you upload for an inventory item are stored in private cloud storage tied to your workspace and used to display that item in your inventory. Uploaded photos are automatically processed into a few standard sizes, such as thumbnails, so they display correctly across the app.
AI-assisted recognition
If you use the AI recognition feature when adding an item, the photo you provide for that analysis is sent to OpenAI, our AI provider, to generate suggestions such as brand, model, or material. This only happens when you actively use that feature. Separately, you can choose to let SASTRANA keep a copy of a recognition photo and your corrections to help improve the recognition system; this is off by default, only used if you opt in, and you can withdraw consent at any time from within that feature.
How information is used
We use the information above to run your account and workspace, show you your own inventory and sales data, generate AI recognition suggestions when you ask for them, and keep the beta running, for example by diagnosing errors. We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Infrastructure and processors
SASTRANA is built on Supabase, which provides our authentication, database, and file storage. Signup is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-verification check. AI recognition, where used, is processed by OpenAI as described above. These providers process data only to help us run SASTRANA for you.
Security and workspace isolation
Each workspace's inventory, listing, sales, and photo data is only accessible to members of that workspace, enforced at the database level. As with any software, we can't guarantee that no security issue will ever occur, and we'll act promptly on anything we become aware of. This is an early beta, and we treat that responsibility accordingly.
Your data, access, and deletion
You can review and edit most of your own account and inventory information directly in the app. To request a full export or deletion of your account and its data, or to ask what information we hold about you, contact us using the details below.
